| Welcome to New York City Pictures - Midtown - Snow Day |
66th Street The day before the New York City Schools were closed, there were few cars on the road and only four people were on the bus.
| |
Path in the Snow I decided to brave the weather and walk to work. Having been stuck in Kentucky for the last big snow storm, I was after the elusive New York City in the Snow pictures.
| |
Park Avenue Armory With all the salt dumped on the streets and sidewalks, not much snow was collecting in the streets.
| |
Park Avenue There were more people out driving than the day before...
| |
Park Avenue Many people rumbled it was a scam promulgated by Home Depot and John Deere to sell snow shovels and snow blowers.
| |
Central Park and Snow The most snow could be found in Central Park.
| |
Central Park Zoo Ahead to the right you can see the roof of one of the buildings in the central park zoo.
| |
Steam One of the buildings in the Central Park Zoo.
| |
Central Park Zoo You can see that the snow was not sticking to the ground. It would not last past a day.
| |
Southeast Corner The path wound around towards the southeast corner of the park. Some people jogged by in defiance of the weather.
| |
Yellow Cab The streets were rather empty as I approached Grand Army Plaza.
| |
Lamp Post Near the Pond there was a lamp post covered with snow.
| |
Grand Army Plaza Grand Army Plaza in the snow.
| |
