Grand Army Plaza At the south eastern corner of Central Park is Grand Army Plaza. This is the entrance that most non-locals enter after walking up 5th Avenue.

East Drive Looping around the park are East Drive and West Drive. Traffic is limited to certain times of the day and during the remainder of the day these roads are open to bikes, rollerbladers and pedestrians.

Horse Carriage At the south east corner of the park is where you can get a ride in a horse carriage for a spin around the park.

Musician in Central Park This is one of the many musicians that you will find playing in the park.

The Pond The southernmost body of water in the park is know simply as The Pond.

The Arsenal Next to the Central Park zoo is the Arsenal. The buildings of the Arsenal are located on 5th Avenue at 64th Street.

Walking Through the Central Park Zoo Walking north through the Central Park Zoo.

Wildlife Center Sign This is a sign for the Wildlife Center in the Central Park Zoo.

Exit North Towards the Children's Zoo This is the north gate of the Central Park Zoo that you walk towards to get to the children's zoo.

The Pond Immediately north of The Pond is Wollman Rick where people can skate through the winter and into spring.

65th Transverse Road To allow traffic to travel easily between the East and West sides there are four transverse roads. This is the one at 65th street. Others are at 97th, 86th and 79th.

Statue of William Shakespeare At the southern end of the mall are a few statues. This on is of William Shakespeare. You can find the Delacorte Theater towards the west side of the park at about 80th street. Its on the south west corner of the great lawn. Here you can see The New York Shakespeare Festival's productions from the famous bard.

Statue of Christopher Columbus Near the statue of William Shakespeare you will find a statue of Christopher Columbus.

Statue of Walter Scott As you walk up the mall you will see a statue of Walter Scott on your right.

Statue of Robert Burns Sitting across from Walter Scott is Robert Burns.

Statue of Fitz Greene Halleck A little father north is a statue of Fitz Greene Halleck.

People Everywhere On a nice day such as this its hard to get away from the thousands of people enjoying the Manhattan wilderness.

Sheep Meadow This is a look at Sheep Meadow, a vast expanse of real estate in the park. No dogs are allowed. You can see the apartments on Central Park West in the background.

In Front of the Band Shell This picture was taken in front of the Band Shell during the fall. I was enjoying the color of the leave and missing New England.

Front of the Naumburg Band Shell This is the Band Shell that sits between the mall and Bethesda Terrace.

Wisteria Pergola Vines cover the Wisteria Pergola behind the Band Shell.

In Front of the Band Shell The Mall in front of the Band Shell is where many people ply their rollerblading skills.

Vase and Benches This is a picture of a vase and some benches near the Band Shell.

Bridge Near Cherry Hill Under the bridge near Cherry Hill that looks over Bethesda Terrace I found a musician playing to the crowds.

Bethesda Terrace More people were being entertained on the stairs at Bethesda Terrace.

Bethesda Fountain South of The Lake is Bethesda Terrace with the famous Angels of the Waters fountain in Central Park.

Flag at Bethesda Terrace Here we have a flag flopping in the wind next to the fountain at Bethesda Terrace.

Boat House North of Bethesda Terrace is the Boat House where you can rent a row boat and float around the lake.

Bridge Throughout Central Park are bridges and archways.

Wedding Pictures in the Park We came across a recently married couple having their pictures taken in the park.

Bride in the Park A few yards down the path was another bride having some pictures taken. The groom was MIA.

Approaching the Conservatory Water Through the trees down the path you can see the Conservatory Water.

The Boat Rescuer This man's job is to push the sailboats that get stuck off of the coping and into the open seas.

Sail Boat The freed sailboat sets off towards the boat house.

Buildings Above Central Park Surrounding Central Park are buildings that offer the well-to-do great views.

Cedar Hill Near the Met is Cedar Hill.

Musicians There are many musicians in the park adding sound to the scenery.

The Met Between 84th Street and 80th Street is the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Fountain at the Metropolitan Museum of Art A view of the fountain that is in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Mansions Save your pennies, boys and girls, and one day you may be able to afford a mansion across from the Met.

The Guggenheim Museum The Guggenheim Meseum sits off the east side of Central Park at 5th Avenue and 89th Street. This picture was taken from the path along the edge of the Reservoir.

John Purroy Mitchel At the reservoir is a plaque to the Mayor of New York City from 1914 to 1918, John Purroy Mitchel.

Run, Jog and Walk Welcome to the Reservoir Running Track. Please run, jog or walk in a counter clockwise direction.

A View Across the Resevoir This is the view through the fences of the buildings on the west side.

Sail Boat Lake Unfortunately over the summer, the Conservatory Water had been drained and there were no model sailboats to play with.

Sail Boat Lake This sign explains that the Conservatory Water had been drained to repair the coping along the edge of the lake, just in case you needed to know.
